Office Manager

Essential Job Functions
 
  • Perform duties in a safe manner, utilizing all safety equipment, and successfully completes all safety certification requirements.
  • Ensures that all employees perform duties in a safe manner that complies with company safety policies.
  • Responsible for managing the office areas of the site to high standards including cleaning contracts, employee office assignments, and office equipment maintenance.
  • Ensures Security Plan is updated annually and is responsible for security contractor and overall plant physical security
  • Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, media and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport.
  • Handle recruiting/hiring function for plant including working with the plant leaders and the corporate recruiting team to post requisitions and sort resumes, coordinates interviews, and all onboarding tasks.
  • Coordinates New Hire training of new hires
  • Acts as the Site Purchasing Card Coordinator and Site Records Retention Coordinator.
  • Maintains tracking system for plant licenses and permits.
  • Maintains vehicle licensing database.
  • Ensures adequate levels of office supply inventory.
  • Performs back-up for HR/Payroll as necessary.
  • Performs back-up for Accountant/Plant Production entry as necessary.
  • May perform reasonably similar or related duties as assigned.
 
Job Requirements
 
  • High school diploma or equivalent with strong fundamental skills (math, reading, writing)
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel) – selection process will include skills testing. Work accuracy and efficiency is critical.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Ability to prioritize and follow through with multiple tasks and take direction from multiple people.
  • Effective spoken and written communication and teamwork skills. Ability to cordially relate to a wide variety of people under sometimes stressful circumstances.
  • Previous experience in payroll
  • Previous experience in a plant manufacturing setting
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility in accepting change
  • Reliability in reporting to work; willingness to work overtime as required
  • High energy level and clear customer focus
  • Ability to walk long distances and perform work in an industrial setting
