Originate and qualify mortgage loan applicants which most commonly includes interviewing customers to obtain pertinent financial information, analyzing the financial data to counsel the customer on appropriate mortgage funding options and other retail products, and initiating the process in compliance with all applicable standards, policies and procedures. Conduct business development activities which typically includes establishing relationships with real estate brokers and builders, attending real estate broker meetings, participating in trade shows, presenting information to professional groups within the community, and monitoring customer base to ensure up-to-date profiling information.

QUALIFICATIONS
Combination of education and experience which enables the incumbent to be successful in the job generally acquired through the attainment of an Associate's Degree and three or more years of related experience.  Successful registration with NMLS and successful completion of any other regulatory approval and/or certification in cases where the employee is involved in negotiating rates and terms with borrowers on mortgages or real estate secured loans.
