Lyon County HHW Environmental Specialist
Lyon County is accepting applications for a fulltime Environmental Specialist in the Household Hazardous Waste Facility. Main duties for this position will be to assist the public with the collection of hazardous materials in the HHW Facility. Other duties include administering the regional HHW program, maintaining records and data and keeping thorough knowledge of changing rules and regulations regarding hazardous materials. An Associate’s or 4-year degree with two years’ experience in HHW or environmental management is preferred. Full pay range is $26.72-$37.40 with two pay increases in the first year, full county benefits, PERA pension and 11.5 paid holidays. Position is open until filled.
