Avera is currently seeking Registered Nurses (RN) looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

Job Summary

  • The Registered Nurse in the Med-Surg Unit is accountable for the safe, individualized, efficient, and effective management and delivery of nursing care for hospitalized inpatients and hospital-based outpatients.

Education and/or Experience

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Acute hospital setting experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Minnesota required upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within one year of hire.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required within one year of hire.

Work Schedule

  • 0645-1915; 1845-0715, e/3rd wknd, occas hol/call; 48hrs/2wks
  • Holiday rotation is 2 holidays per year
