Monthly Veterans Coffee: Tuesday, June 3rd
The next monthly veterans coffee at the Lyon County Museum, 301 West Lyon Street, Marshall is Tuesday, June 3 at 1:30 pm. The monthly coffee is the first Tuesday of the month and is open to all veterans. Enjoy coffee, water, juice, and treats while visiting with fellow veterans in the ice cream shop at the museum. Genealogy Club Meeting: Monday, June 2nd
Last month, The Lyon County Museum, 301 West Lyon Street, Marshall hosted a Genealogy Club meeting in the Joseph A. Amato Research Center on the main floor of the Lyon County Museum. It was decided to hold a gathering each month on the first Monday. The next meeting is Monday, June 2 at 1:30 pm. The gathering is open to anyone interested in talking about their family history research and those interested in genealogy. Light refreshments will be served. Jennifer Andries Appointed to Historic Resources Advisory Committee (HRAC)
Jennifer Andries, Executive Director of the Lyon County Historical Society Museum in Marshall has been appointed to a two-year term on the Historic Resources Advisory Committee (HRAC). The Historic Resources Advisory Committee consists of thirteen members serving two-year terms and two ex-officio members. Committee members make funding recommendations for requests of more than $10,000 and provide policy and grant-making guidance for the Minnesota Historical and Cultural Heritage Grants program, funded
