Assistant Athletic Director - Event Operations & Ticketing

This position will lead, plan, direct and assess all game management responsibilities for SMSU home athletic events and high school athletic contests with a focus on improving of game environment, customer service, fan experience and revenue generation. Direct the athletic ticket process working with athletic staff members, Mustang Boosters and season ticket
 
Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Sports Management or a related field plus one year of professional experience in sports-related field OR Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management or a related field plus two years of professional experience in sport-related field. Related fields could include marketing, sports management, game and/or event operations, athletic administration, ticket sales/advertising, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience and knowledge in Intercollegiate Athletics to understand the areas of game management, scheduling, ticketing, fund raising, and special events.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of NCAA, NSIC and Minnesota State System policies and procedures in order to work with compliance, fiscal responsibilities, donor relations, and equity in athletics issues.
  • Possess computer skills for word processing, database and spreadsheets.
  • Demonstrated abilities to supervise and manage staff.
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal and organizational skills.
